扶筐四(Omicron Draconis,拉丁化為ο Draconis,縮寫為ο Dra)是星座天龍座的一顆巨星,距地球322.93光年。在北緯31o以北的地區,它是一顆拱極星,這意味著這顆恆星在夜空中永遠不會升起或落下。

這是一個單線光譜聯星系統[7],但已使用干涉測量術檢測到伴星。它是帶有食的獵犬座RS型變星系統,變化的總幅度只有百分之幾星等[8][4]。伴星與太陽相似,大概是一顆主序星,而主星是一顆比太陽大25倍,亮度高出200倍的巨星。
極星的身份
[编辑]扶筐四是距離水星北天極最近的恆星,因此可以認為是水星的極星[9]。除此之外,這顆恆星每18.6年會成為月球的北極星一次[10]。這是因為月球自轉軸的進動,使其極星的狀態定期變化。

In 1968 the north pole star of the Moon was Omega Draconis; by 1977 it was 36 Draconis. The south pole star is Delta Doradus.
