代森锰是一种杀真菌剂。除此之外，代森锰还可用于创建因毒物导致的帕金森病灵长类模式动物。^[3]

2009年1月13日，瑞典化学品管理局在欧洲会议上提出一份杀虫剂禁用名单并获得通过，代森锰在其中。^[4]^[5]
