北美林蛙（Lithobates sylvaticus）^[3] 是一种分布于北美洲的蛙类，北起加拿大北方森林南至阿巴拉契亚山脉，并在北卡罗来纳州东部低地等地存在若干孤立种群。该物种因具备耐寒性、较高的陆栖倾向（相对于赤蛙科物种）、特殊的栖息地偏好（泥炭沼泽、春池、高地）以及较长距离迁移能力等特性，持续受到生物学界关注。
