人类蛋白质c-Fos是原癌基因，由FOS基因编码，顺序与病毒癌基因v-fos类似。c-Fos在大鼠成纤维细胞被FBJ MSV (Finkel–Biskis–Jinkins murine osteogenic sarcoma virus)转化时第一次被发现。^[5]
