Heart Aerospace由Anders和Klara Forslund于2019年在瑞典哥德堡成立。[6]2021年，公司完成了3500万美元的A轮融资，由Breakthrough Energy Ventures、United Airlines Ventures和Mesa Air Group领投，原有种子投资者EQT Ventures和Lowercarbon Capital亦继续跟投。[7]

2022年9月，加拿大航空和萨博公司分别向Heart Aerospace公司投资500万美元。与此同时，加拿大航空订购了30架ES-30飞机。

2024 年，Heart Aerospace创始人兼首席执行官Anders Forslund展示了 ES-30混合动力支线飞机及其推进系统的剖面图。

Heart Aerospace的首款机型ES-19于2020年亮相，此前公司曾参加2019年Y Combinator的冬季孵化项目。[13]ES-19是一款19座全电动支线客机概念设计，面向约400公里（250英里）的短途航线。[14]2022年6月，Heart Aerospace申请将项目转入更高重量等级，并按EASA CS-25标准认证，从而避免因超重向欧盟航空安全局申请豁免。[15][16]同年9月，该方案被新的ES-30设计取代。[17] [18]

ES-30是一款30座混合动力支线客机，主打短途航线的可持续性与效率。其纯电航程约200公里（110海里），混合动力航程约400公里（220海里）。与同级传统机型相比，能大幅降低二氧化碳排放。若载客量降至25人，航程有望提升至约800公里（430海里）。[19]ES-30的研发部分由美国联邦航空管理局（FAA）提供的410万美元FAST拨款支持，用于开发混合动力发动机控制系统。[20][21]公司预计在2020年代末取得ES-30型号合格证。[22]

2024年，Heart Aerospace公司发布了其首架全尺寸验证机Heart X1 （Heart Experimental 1）。X1完全由电力驱动，原计划于2025年第二季度进行首飞。 [22]但截至2025年第三季度，首飞仍未实现。

在X1项目之后，Heart Aerospace计划打造原型机Heart X2。X2将基于X1进行优化，并采用公司自研的混合动力推进系统，该系统预计于2026年完成混合动力飞行演示。[19] [22]
