This template generates an external link to the French Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) for a specific airport. These links change every 28 days and the template calculates the correct URL based on the current date.

Parameters:

  1. (unnamed) – airport's ICAO location indicator, i.e. LFMN
  2. name (optional) – airport's location, i.e. NICE CÔTE D'AZUR (location and bold print are as shown in the AIP). Most airports show two locations: the first is the city served, second is the city where the airport is located.

Short version (used in airport lists):

  • Usage: {{AIP_FR|LFMN}}
  • Result: LFMN

Long version (used in airport articles):

The AIP is updated on a 28天的周期 as per the ICAO. For the online version of the French AIPs this causes a change in the URL involving the AIRAC effective date formatted as YYYY-MM-DD. This template uses the current date (presently 2025年12月12日) to calculate the effective date. The following is a list for the current and upcoming AIRAC cycles:

  • 2025-11-27 — 2025年11月27日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2513)
  • 2025-12-25 — 2025年12月25日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2601)
  • 2026-01-22 — 2026年1月22日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2602)
  • 2026-02-19 — 2026年2月19日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2603)
  • 2026-03-19 — 2026年3月19日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2604)
  • 2026-04-16 — 2026年4月16日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2605)
  • 2026-05-14 — 2026年5月14日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2606)
  • 2026-06-11 — 2026年6月11日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2607)
  • 2026-07-09 — 2026年7月9日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2608)
  • 2026-08-06 — 2026年8月6日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2609)
  • 2026-09-03 — 2026年9月3日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2610)
  • 2026-10-01 — 2026年10月1日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2611)
  • 2026-10-29 — 2026年10月29日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2612)

If this template stops working, the most likely reason is that the URL format has changed. To find the current format, go to the Aeronautical Information Publications page of the Service d'information aéronautique (SIA) website and view the AIP for an airport.
