约翰·哈兰·林德尔（英语：John Harlan Lindell，1916年8月30日—1985年8月27日），为前美国职棒大联盟的投手与外野手，生涯曾效力于洋基、红雀、海盗与费城人等队。他身高193公分，体重98公斤，右投右打。

职业生涯

林德尔年轻时是田径队选手，同时擅长美式橄榄球和棒球。他在1935年曾获得南加州跨栏冠军与跳高季军。[1][2]

1936年，林德尔开启职棒之路，[3]他在洋基小联盟以投手身份训练。[4]1940年，他在2A拿下18胜。[5]1941年，林德尔首次站上大联盟。后来他在小联盟拿下23胜4败，直接帮助球队拿下小联盟总冠军。[6][7]

1942年，林德尔主要担任牛棚投手。不过洋基总教练Joe McCarthy认为他的直球球威不足，导致其三振率偏低。[8]因此在1943年，他开始让林德尔担任外野手。林德尔也没有遇到阵痛期，他在6月初缴出3成以上打击率，让他得以入选明星赛。[9][10][11]该年他敲出联盟最多的12支三垒安打，并缴出2成45的打击率。

1943年世界大赛第三场，[12]林德尔在平手时，于8局上率先敲安，并趁对方失误上二垒。随后林德尔透过牺牲触击以头部扑垒方式上三垒，他的头撞到了红雀三垒手Whitey Kurowski，导致后者漏球。这也让洋基开启了5分大局，以6比2逆转胜。[13]最终洋基乘着气势，拿下世界大赛冠军。[14]

1944年林德尔缴出3成打击率，并敲出18轰与103分打点。[15]该年他还达成单场敲出4支二垒安打的纪录。1945年和1946年，他因为入伍导致出赛数减少。[16][17]

随着洋基主力外野手乔·迪马乔、汤米·亨利奇和查理·凯勒陆续退伍回归，林德尔成为了球队的工具人。[18]后来因为凯勒受伤，让林德尔得以在1947年世界大赛上场。他在系列赛缴出5成打击率，并打回全队最高的7分打点，帮助洋基4胜3败打败道奇拿下世界大赛冠军。[19]1948年，他缴出3成17的打击率，并敲出13轰与55分打点。

1949年，林德尔学会了蝴蝶球。总教练凯西·史丹格尔也尝试让林德尔担任牛棚投手。10月1日，落后红袜一场胜差的洋基，靠着林德尔的致胜轰，成功追上美联龙头，[20][21][22]并在最后一场比赛顺利打败红袜，成功拿下世界大赛门票。最后洋基4胜1败打败道奇，拿下世界大赛冠军，也开启了日后的冠军五连霸纪录。[23][24]

1950年5月，洋基将林德尔交易到红雀，[25]但他在红雀只缴出1成86的打击率，导致他很快就被下放到小联盟。[26][27]林德尔后来被交易到道奇，并在道奇小联盟遇到了将他改造成蝴蝶球投手的总教练Fred Haney。[28]

1953年，36岁的林德尔以投手身份重返大联盟。同年他从海盗被交易到费城人，但他的蝴蝶球难以控制，导致保送和暴投数过多。[29]最后他在1954年被费城人释出，并结束其大联盟生涯。

1985年8月27日，林德尔因肺癌去世，享年68岁，距离他69岁生日只差三天。[30]
