杵增一(Theta Arae)是在星座天坛座的一颗恒星。它的拜耳名称,即拉丁化后的名称为θ Arae,缩写为θ Ara或Theta Ara。这颗恒星的视星等为 +3.67[3],亮度足以用肉眼看见。基于移动4.01mas的周年视差[2],杵增一与地球的距离为810光年(250秒差距)。
这是一颗恒星分类为B2Ib的超巨星[4]。年龄2,800万年[6],它具有高旋传速率,投影旋转速度为95公里/秒[9]。这颗恒星的质量将近9太阳质量[6],半径超过20太阳半径[7]。这颗恒星外层大气的有效温度为17,231K[7],比太阳表面热得多。在这种温度下,恒星会发出B型恒星特有的蓝白色光泽[11]。
