蒙哥马利·马歇琉斯·“胡特”·皮尔森（英语：Montgomery Marcellus "Hoot" Pearson，1908年9月2日—1978年1月27日），为前美国职棒大联盟的投手，生涯曾效力于印地安人(今守护者)、洋基与红人等队。

皮尔森生涯在季后赛的每局被上垒率仅0.729，至今仍是大联盟纪录。1938年，他在旧洋基体育场投出该球场史上第一场无安打比赛。

职业生涯

皮尔森从1929年开始挑战职棒，[1]1931年，他缴出17胜16败，防御率4.46的成绩。他也靠着他的曲球获得印地安人的注意。

1932年，皮尔森登上大联盟，但他在初登板仅投1.2局便狂失6分。[2]他生涯前8场比赛防御率高达10.13，因此遭到下放小联盟。隔年他在小联盟投出11胜5败，防御率3.41。[3]后来他回到大联盟，并拿下10胜5败，防御率2.33。要不是投球局数不够，否则皮尔森将会空降成为该年的防御率王。[4]

1934年，皮尔森拿下18胜13败，防御率4.52。[5]但他在隔年只拿下8胜13败，防御率4.90。球季结束后，印地安人将他和Steve Sundra交易到洋基，换来Johnny Allen。[6]

1940年，皮尔森第二次入选明星赛。[26]他在7月中肩膀韧带撕裂，导致他的职棒生涯急遽缩短。[27][28]该年他拿下7胜5败，防御率3.69。他最后被放进让渡名单，并被交易到红人，换来Don Lang。

生涯后期

由于伤病史丰富，洋基不向皮尔森提出续约。[29]不过红人总教练比尔·麦科克尼决定赌一把，但皮尔森旧伤复发，[30]让他在红人的初登板仅投1.1局便狂失6分。[31]整季他只拿下1胜3败，防御率5.18。

1941年8月21日，红人将皮尔森下放到小联盟。他只在小联盟先发一场，成功投出完投胜。[32]后来他在8月27日宣布退休。

个人生活

皮尔森在1931年结婚，并育有两子一女。[33]他其中一个儿子赖瑞曾在1959年选秀被参议员选走。[34]

1939年休赛季，皮尔森在打猎时险些被一名15岁的高中生以猎枪爆头。[35]1942年，他退休后担任消防员。[36]

1962年5月15日，皮尔森因为收受贿赂而遭逮捕，最终被判入狱8个月。[37]1978年1月27日，皮尔森因病去世，享年69岁。[38]

成就

皮尔森生涯拿下100胜61败，[39]世界大赛四场先发全数夺胜，每局被上垒率只有0.729，为大联盟史上最低。每9局被安打率4.794和防御率1.01都是大联盟季后赛史上次佳纪录，[40]季后赛被打击率更是只有1成51。在洋基四连霸期间，他和瑞德·拉芬和季拿下8胜1败，防御率1.79。[41]

1958年，他在生涯唯一一次名人堂票选仅获得一张选票。[42]而皮尔森的打击能力也很不错，他生涯打击率为2成28，并敲出2轰与62分打点。他在世界大赛的打击率为2成50，并有一次得分。
