1990年由Brian L Hinman 和 Jeffrey Rodman所创办的一家跨国性企业。最初是以发展三角型会议电话为主，目前专门开发高解析视频会议产品。
2018年3月，Plantronics宣布以大约20亿美元的价格收购Polycom[2]。
