1994年也門內戰是1994年發生在也門的一場內戰。戰場主要位於也門南方。^[5]

背景

1990年5月22日，阿拉伯也門共和國（北也門）和也門民主人民共和國（南也門）宣布統一，成立也門共和國。新國家的總統委員會主席、政府第一副總理由北也門出任，總統委員會副主席、政府總理由南也門出任。但是由於經濟和社會等方面固有的差異和權力、利益分配上的分歧，統一之後南北雙方領導人之間的矛盾逐漸激化。

內戰爆發前，北也門與南也門的軍隊和警察仍未合併，而雙方都有一部分軍隊在對方省份內駐守。

內戰過程

1994年5月4日晚，也門北南雙方出動戰鬥機相互轟炸原雙方首都等重要城市，也門爆發全面內戰。北也門軍在人數上佔有優勢，開戰僅十多天便已肅清原駐扎於北也門的南也門軍。5月21日，南方領導人阿里·薩利姆·比德宣布南方脫離也門共和國，成立獨立的也門民主共和國。到6月底，北也門軍已佔領南也門軍原有控制區超過7成土地。^[5]7月5日，北也門軍攻入穆卡拉，南方領導人比德及5名助手於6日乘快艇離開也門逃亡阿曼蘇丹國。7月7日，北也門軍全面控制亞丁。也門政府發言人7日晚宣布，持續了兩個月的也門內戰已經結束。
