Android 15，是由Open Handset Alliance開發、Google公司主導的Android作業系統之第15個主要版本，也是第22個版本，內部代號為Vanilla Ice Cream[2]。

Android 15的第一個開發者預覽版於2024年2月16日發布[3]，第二個開發者預覽版於同年3月21日發布[4]。原始碼在該年9月4日發布[5]。穩定版於同年10月15日發布[6]。

功能

第一個開發者預覽版的文件中提到，Android 15將引入以下功能[3]：

  • 私隱沙箱
  • 健康連接
  • 檔案完整性
  • 部分螢幕共用
  • 應用內相機控制
  • 動態效能
  • 敏感通知
  • 通知冷卻時間

愛好者們發現了其它正在開發的功能，這些功能可能會在以後的開發者預覽版本中發布，例如重新引入鎖屏小部件（該功能在Android 4.2中引入，但在Android 5.0中被刪除）[7]。情況相似的還有電池健康狀況測定、應用程式存檔、語音啟用、私人空間和應用程式配對[8][9]以及桌面模式下最佳化的多工/窗口等[10]。

第二個開發者預覽版增加了更多功能，包括改進與衛星通訊的相容性、改進內建PDF閱讀器以及對應用程式存檔的支援等[11][12]。

Beta 1的發布增加了更多功能，例如應用程式能夠從邊到邊縮放並在螢幕頂​​部和底部繪製半透明系統欄、對第三方應用程式上的應用程式存檔和取消存檔的作業系統級支援商店、更好的盲文支援、聯絡人金鑰的端到端加密以及許多其他新的開發人員功能[13]。

Beta 1從作業系統層級支援第三方應用商店的應用歸檔與解壓，使應用程式能夠實現全螢幕顯示並在螢幕頂部和底部繪製透明系統欄，改進了對盲文的支援，聯絡人金鑰的端到端加密，增加了針對開發者的新功能[14]。

Beta 3重新設計了的憑據管理器，並宣布逐步棄用WebSQL[17]。

Android 15增加了對ISO 21496-1增益對映（Gain Map）HDR圖像格式標準的支援，該格式與SDR顯示器相容，並可同時進行Ultra HDR標準的編碼和解碼。蘋果公司從iOS 18開始也支援ISO 21496-1（蘋果稱為自適應 HDR），因此能使HDR圖像實現跨平台相容。[18]。

Android 15基於Linux內核6.6版本[19]。
