樹林
樹林是指由一小片樹木形成的區域，林下植被稀少或根本就沒有植被。天然形成的樹林通常面積較小，最多可能只有幾英畝。相比之下，果園通常是人為種植的樹林，面積可大可小。 [1]
樹林內通常棲息著一些在鄰近地區已經滅絕的動植物物種。因此在棲息地不斷遭到破壞的當下，各物種紛紛到樹林內尋求庇護，樹林也因此成為了生物多樣性熱點地區。 [2][3]
