4-碘-2-甲基吡啶是一種碘代芳烴,化學式為C6H6IN。它可由4-溴-2-甲基吡啶和碘化鈉在碘化亞銅和N,N'-二甲基-1,2-環己二胺催化下於1,4-二氧六環中反應製得。[1]4-三甲基錫基-2-甲基吡啶和碘反應,也能得到4-碘-2-甲基吡啶。[2]
它和三甲基矽基乙炔在催化下反應,可以得到2-甲基-4-(2-三甲基矽基乙炔基)吡啶。[3]
