除「group」外，所有參數均為可選。

參數	說明
group	族群名稱（例如「美國人」）。
native_name	當地語言中的名稱。若有多個，請使用{{Plain list}}分隔
native_name_lang	ISO 639-2代碼，例如法語用「fr」。若有多個，請改用{{lang}}
flag	用於在標題欄下方指定旗幟圖像。請謹慎使用：大多數族群並沒有強烈關聯的旗幟。
flag_border	設置為no可隱藏旗幟圖像的細邊框。
flag_caption	旗幟下方顯示的說明文字（若使用）。
flag_alt	旗幟圖像的替代說明文字。
image	用於在標題欄（或旗幟）下方指定圖像。在英文維基有方針規定不應使用該族群成員的照片拼貼或圖片集作為配圖（en:MOS:PEOPLEGALLERY），中文維基無相關討論。
image_caption	（或caption）圖像下方顯示的說明文字（若使用）。
image_alt	圖像的替代說明文字。
total	（或population或pop）全球人口數量。
genealogy	符合標準下的全球人口數量，包括被同化的海外族群（對於某些族群，可用於區分population）。
regions	（或popplace）用於引導和/或指示區域人口。
tablehdr	區域列表（region1、region2等）上方的標題。
region1	用於列出第一個區域。需要填寫|pop1=或|ref1=才能顯示。
pop1	用於列出第一個區域的人口。
ref1	用於列出第一個區域資訊的註腳。
