L9A1自動手槍（英語：Pistol Automatic L9A1）為英國在1962年以後，為其服役的比利時白朗寧大威力半自動手槍軍用版本的命名。
歷史
[编辑]在二戰期間，加拿大的英格利斯大威力半自動手槍主要被英國空降部隊以及秘密行動組，或是諸如在特別行動處（英語：Special Operations Executive，簡稱：SOE）、美国戰略情報局的職員和英国空降特勤隊突擊隊隊員所採用。
在北約國家同一時間使用白朗寧大威力半自動手槍的時候，英國軍隊於1954年正式採用該槍，作為軍用制式手槍。
設計
[编辑]L9A1在套筒左側印有“L9A1自動手槍”（英語：Pistol Automatic L9A1）的標記[1]，後來配備了更為符合人體工程學的Mark 2型的能左右手操作型保險和握把。[2]
採用
[编辑]L9A1從1960年代後期，開始取代在英國服役的英格利斯衍生型。
這兩種型號一起持續在英國軍隊服役，直到英格利斯衍生型最終於1980年代後期撒裝，而L9A1已被SIG P226及第四代格洛克17所取代[3][4][5][6]。
除了英軍[7]，L9A1同時成為遍及英聯邦國家軍隊的制式手槍[8]。
