数个世纪以来，海战中的舰船都是被无制导的炮弹所击沉，但第二次世界大战期间导弹的出现改变了海战格局。1943年首次出现被飞机发射的制导武器击沉的舰船，而直到1967年才首次有舰船在非测试环境下被另一艘舰船发射的导弹击沉。这两艘都是军舰，但导弹也曾攻击商船。在战争与和平时期，另有超过五十艘船只被导弹击沉。

本列表仅收录被导弹击沉的舰船，不包括被舰炮、鱼雷等非制导武器或神风特攻队MXY-7樱花特攻机等有人操控武器摧毁的舰船。

背景

“Agerholm”号被战斧导弹击中

数个世纪以来，舰船一直都有配备投射式武器，特别是投石机，最终宋朝发明的火炮成为风帆时代海军武器的典范[1]。而直到第二次世界大战才出现对制导武器的运用，当时的同盟国和轴心国都开始研发精确制导炸弹这类精确制导武器[2]。首个投入实战的是德国研制的“弗里茨X”滑翔炸弹。初期攻击未获成功，但在1943年9月9日，"弗里茨X"重创意大利战列舰“意大利”号（英语：Italian battleship Littorio）并击沉战列舰“罗马”号（英语：Italian battleship Roma (1940)），成为首个次成功打击主力舰的战例[3]。与此同时，配备火箭发动机的“亨舍尔Hs293”导弹也投入使用[4]。这些导弹于1943年首次投入实战，成为首批击沉军舰的制导导弹[5]。

战后，反舰导弹的研发持续推进，苏联和瑞典尤其重视舰载导弹的发展，将其视为增强小型舰艇打击能力的有效手段[6]。1967年10月21日，埃及海军舰艇发射的苏联制P-15“白蚁”导弹首次在实战中公开击沉舰船[7]。这一战例促使包括“飞鱼”在内的各类导弹迅速发展[8]。“飞鱼”导弹在两伊战争期间被大规模使用，尤其在油轮战争中成为伊拉克空军的主要攻击武器[9]。除国家行为体外，非国家组织也使用反舰导弹袭击商船，形成新型海盗行为[10]。

为应对反舰导弹，军舰配备了防空导弹、先进电子对抗系统（英语：Electronic countermeasures）和近程防御武器系统[11]。
