中国在朝鲜战争中成为后来但重要的参战国：In Chinese, the verb "成为" (become/became) is generally not used in this context; instead, "是" (be) is used.

陈建认为毛泽东从未认真挑战过金日成的计划：In Chinese, "挑战" is the literal translation of "challenge". However, people generally say "质疑" (question) rather than "challenge."

中国人民志愿军(PVA) 部队秘密渡过鸭绿江，支援朝鲜：Naturally when we write something about China, we do not use the abbr from English. So "(PVA)" is not needed. Also in Chinese sources, especially those made from Mainland China, "跨过" (to step over) would be preferred over "渡过" (to pass through).

中国人民解放军第四野战军第十三军立即改组为东北边防军（NEBDA，也译为东北边防军，NEFF）：Ibid.
